Official Rules & Fine Print:
ELIGIBILITY
You must be 18 years or older to purchase a raffle ticket. Musicians Against Childhood Cancer Board members are not eligible to enter contest. Only one (1) individual may be identified as the purchaser (or buyer) of the raffle ticket. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Entries may be purchased, online at www.MusiciansAgainstChildhoodCancer.com and designated events. Void where prohibited by law.
DRAWINGS and ODDS
The odds of winning are dependent on the number of valid entries. Ticket cost is $10 each. Musicians Against Childhood Cancer may in its sole and absolute discretion change or adjust the drawing date and time. Drawing date is as follows: • Final Drawings – The Grand Prize will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2022, 7:15pm est, at Cardinal Center Campground, Marengo, Ohio. All entries must be received by 6:00 p.m. on July 30, 2022, to be eligible for the drawing. In no event shall a purchaser be entitled to redeem, refund or exchange his or her ticket entry prior to the date of the drawing. Musicians Against Childhood Cancer or its agents shall draw one (1) Raffle ticket to ascertain the winner of the Grand Prize Drawing. All purchases of raffle entries are non-refundable. Verification of the validity of each raffle ticket and conformance with these Official Rules shall be made in the sole and absolute discretion of Musicians Against Childhood Cancer. Said verification and conformance contingency shall be deemed a condition precedent if any condition is not met or if any rule is violated and shall lead to a forfeiture of said prize.
PRIZES
The Grand Prize will be awarded on the respective drawing date for that portion of the raffle. The value of the Grand Prize is $5,000. In the event of a winning entry having more than one name, Musicians Against Childhood Cancer will award the prize to the first name listed on the entry. Musicians Against Childhood Cancer is not responsible for resolving any disputes that may arise from the different individuals. The winner of the Grand Prize is entitled to the advertised Grand Prize, a custom made replica of Tony Rice’s 1935 Martin D-28 Herringbone Guitar. The guitar will be custom made by Todd Sams. The guitar is currently in the possession of Todd Sams. The winner is responsible for any and all pickup or delivery costs at Musicians Against Childhood Cancer offices if winner is not present at drawing. The Grand Prize is subject to a cash alternative of $1,500.00, and it is non-transferable. Each ticket purchaser agrees to provide for delivery of any prize awarded to him or her at his or her own expense.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
The Grand winner will be notified at the time of the drawing and or by phone / email if not present of the prize won and any requisite procedure to claim the prize by Musicians Against Childhood Cancer. Winner names and locations by city or town, and state, may be mailed to all entrants and may also be posted on Musicians Against Childhood Cancer website at www.MusiciansAgainstChildhoodCancer.com. If a selected winner is unable to be contacted or located after a period of sixty (60) days from the draw date, the prize or its cash equivalent will be deemed to have been donated to Musicians Against Childhood Cancer. All contact attempts shall be made to the address, phone number and email provided by the raffle entry purchaser. The Grand Prize winner, by entering, authorize Musicians Against Childhood Cancer to publish his or her name and likeness on the website and in other promotional materials.
TAXES AND IRS RULES
Grand winner shall be responsible for any and all federal, state and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prize. The Raffle will follow the rules in effect at the time the prizes are awarded. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution. Check with your qualified financial advisor for additional information.
WAIVER/LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The Grand Prize winner acknowledge that Musicians Against Childhood Cancer, its members, officers, agents and representatives, have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, condition or fitness. Entry purchasers, by participating (and Prize winner, by accepting prize) release Musicians Against Childhood Cancer and its partners, vendors, agents, representatives, sponsors, service agencies and independent contractors, and each of their respective directors, officers, partners, employees and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to participation in the promotion and possession or use of the prize awarded and also acknowledge that they did not receive any representations, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, condition or fitness.
